Manzanita innards







...are beautiful! When Kev split the wood (which we were going to burn) it revealed this lovely variation in color. I always loved the outside of Manzanita. Now I love the inside too.

Wow; the close-ups really reveal the color and texture variation. Almost a shame to throw them in the fire!

I did end up burning it, only because Kev couldn't do anything with it in the shop. It produced some nice coals.

i agree with danielle, it does look very much like rock out in the new mexican desert.
